Nelito's Finacle Practice

Nelito started its Finacle journey in the year 2004 by becoming partner of Infosys Technologies and Hewlett-Packard. A large public sector bank was the first Bank to prefer entire outsourcing for their technology upgradation and they had selected HP as System Integrator.

As part of technology upgradation, the components included were Core Banking and allied applications to be implemented in their 3000+ branches in India and overseas. The project was first of its kind to all the technology partners of Bank of India and there were tremendous challenges. Nelito played a key role of rollout of Finacle CBS in 3000+ branches of the Bank across the country.

The Finacle practice was started with barely 10 resources in February 2004. The number of resources were over 300 by the year 2004, 450 by the year 2005 and over 600 by the year 2006. Nelito has set up a Centre of Excellence for Finacle at its Head Office and has been able to nurture talents in-house.

There has always been a rigorous training which spans over 28 days including domain knowledge, Finacle training and onsite training to all the resources. The continuous skill enhancement enabled Nelito to meet the ambitious schedules of Banks in Finacle rollout.

Highlights of Nelito's Finacle practice

  • In the shortest possible notice given by the Banks, Nelito was able to ramp up the resources to the desired level in the shortest possible time. The training methodology adopted by Nelito was inspected by Infosys and they awarded "Best Systems and Processes Award". Nelito set industry records in rolling out Finacle in largest number of branches in the short time.
    Recognizing the efforts, Infosys conferred on Nelito "Best Rollout Partner Award". Other awards including Best performance from Bank of India, Hewlett-Packard, etc.
  • Developed Data Extraction tools for most of the legacy systems available in country and abroad. Prior to roll-out of Finacle, each Bank had more than 7 different legacy applications. Nelito developed extractions tools for all their native systems with time-proven processes and tools.
  • Trained over 27000 users of different Banks on Finacle CBS.
  • In a big bang approach, migrated 222 branches of a private bank (which was merged with a large Public Sector Bank having Finacle CBS) in a week's time.
  • Set Industry record in migrating over 150 branches every week for various Banks. This effort warranted requirement of 90 Data Migration professionals and 450+ support personnel at branches. The PAN India presence of Nelito permitted migration of branches at such a high magnitude.
  • Till now, Nelito has migrated 17000+ branches to Finacle CBS in different Banks.
  • After completion of Finacle rollouts, the resources were converted as professionals to manage technical help desks of Banks. As of now, Nelito is supporting technical help desks of 10 Banks across the country.
    Nelito has been the chosen partner for all Banks and System Integrators for providing well trained and experienced resources in Help Desk with vernacular capability. Depending on the location of Help Desk, Nelito has been able to provide the resources with local language speaking capability, which provided greater comfort to the clients.
