Board of Directors

Nelito is a Board managed Company. Mr KM Gherda is the Chairperson of the Board. Other Directors comprise of Mr MN Bhagwat, Mr ZA Engineer, Mr KA Mahashur, Mr C Vandrevala & Mr A Bali. Brief profile of the Directors is given in the succeeding paragraphs.

Mr K M Gherda, Chairman – BCom, ACA, FCA (Eng & Wales), ACS – holds managerial experience of more than 45 years including that as Managing Director of the Tata Power Company. He currently holds the position of Chairman for various Companies besides being on the Board of numerous Public Limited Companies & Trusts. For his distinguished service and business acumen, he was conferred the title of the Honorary Officer of the Order of the British Empire by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1991.

Mr Z J Engineer – AMIE – has more than 37 years of managerial and commercial experience, including that as Executive Director of Nelco Ltd for five years.

Mr K A Mahashur – MTech (IIT-B) – holds managerial and commercial experience of about 37 years. As an Executive Director of Nelco Ltd, he is responsible for the operations and profitability of Industrial Systems Group and for working out the long-term strategies for the Company and the ISG. His special achievement relates to the launching of the Strategic Electronics Business in Nelco which has developed into ISG’s key line of business. In the past, he has been involved in a major way in the formation of the Joint Venture between Tatas & Emerson Electric/Liebert for the business of UPS systems in India, formation of the JV between Nelco and Itochu, and formation of Technopolis Knowledge Park Ltd - a Company involved in the development of Nelco’s Property.

Mr C Vandrevala is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Capital Partners, a U.S. based private equity partnership focused on investing in several industries in the USA and India.

Mr Ajai Bali, Director of Zenta Private Limited, was previously Manager Finance and Administration for Reuters in India, having worked with Rhodes & Rhodes, UK and various other Companies. He qualified from the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants, UK in 1985.

Mr R B Upadhyay - BCom (Hons), FCS, FCA - is currently VP and Head of Finance in Nelco Ltd. His rich experience of 29 years in Finance, Accounts, Legal & secretarial includes Director (Finance) & Company Secretary of a leading Public Ltd Company. His areas of specialisation are merger, acquisition and divestment.

Management Team

The Board of Directors is aided by a set of highly experienced and motivated team of professionals. The functional and profit centre Heads working under overall guidance of the President & CEO at corporate Headquarters provide strategic directions to field functionaries.

Mr P Bhaskara Rao, President & CEO– MSc (Hons), MBA, CISA (USA), CQA (USA), CAIIB, PGDPM, CIQA, DIRB – is a senior banking professional of over 30 years of extensive experience in banking and IT areas. As a banking professional, he had the opportunity to represent high-powered committees constituted by Reserve Bank of India, IDRBT and Indian Banking Association for standardization of various processes for the banking industry. He is responsible for providing, direction & shaping of the Company’s growth.

Cdr Harish C Verma (Retd), Vice President & Head (HR, QA, Corp Comm) – BE (Electrical) (IIT-Roorkee), MIE (India), PGDMM, PGDMS, Dip T&D – has multi-functional experience of over 34 years in HR, training, maintenance, system analysis & design, materials management, and quality assurance. He is responsible for people management, standardization of processes, infrastructure, & corporate communication. He is also management representative for ISO-9001 and Head Quality Assurance Group for CMMI implementation in the Company.

Mr Ramesh B Paniker, Vice President & Head (Verification & Validation Service) - BCom - has over 29 years of banking and IT experience, with a vast domain knowledge in Trade Finance, Treasury & Capital Markets. He worked in PSI Data Systems Ltd for 8 years including as Vice President & Business Head BFSI and Asia region. Later he worked as Vice President in Winfowave Technologies Ltd for one year. He is responsible for pursuing verification & validation services, hosting services, knowledge enhancement services & BI.

Mr KR Viswamohan, Vice President & Head (Enterprise Solution) – BE, MTech (Computer Sc) (IIT-Bombay), DBF – has over 25 years of IT experience in the field of software application development, deployment, consulting and implementation in different vertical markets like banking, manufacturing and telecom. He has worked on projects of many international clients including working in US for 4 years. In Nelito, he is responsible for driving the organization’s technology vision and is accountable to the President & CEO in all matters pertaining to application maintenance & enterprise solutions. He is also Head of SEPG for CMMI implementation in the Company.

Mr Satish L Rajopadhe, Associate Vice President & Head (Software Services) – BE (Electrical) – has over 30 years experience in customer relation management in different IT Companies in India. In Nelito, he is responsible for software products implementation, overseeing customer support activities, and facility management.

Mr RVS Hayagrivam, Associate Vice President & Head (Project Management Services) – BCom, CAIIB-I, PMP (PMI, USA), IPMA-D (IPMA, Switzerland) – is a senior banker with over 31 years experience in retail banking and IT of a leading nationalized bank in India. He handled very large projects ranging from software development/implementation to Wide Area Network implementation in his previous employment. During his tenure in the company, he was the Project Manager for defining IT Strategy and evaluation of application software for a leading Public Sector bank in Sri Lanka. He evaluated many domestic and international banking software as a part of assignments. He is currently heading the Project Management Services Division of the Company, steering the rollout of Core Banking Solutions in different Banks. He is also responsible for Extraction Transformation & Loading (ETL) projects & Customer Relationship Management (CRM) business segments.

Mr Dilip Nadkarni, General Manager & Head (Software Products) – BSc – is an ex banker with over 32 years experience in retail banking and IT area. In his previous employment, he was extensively involved in designing, developing, & deploying several software products, & setting up the centralized solution connecting 40 branches for a leading private bank in India. He possesses rich experience in implementing various international banking software (like Equation 3) with multiple delivery channels. In the current position, he is the responsible for directing all product development efforts to meet the customer requirements and schedusle.

Mr NMJ Fernandes, General Manager & Head (Professional Consulting Services) – BSc (Tech) (Computer Engineering) – has been associated with over 21 years of varied functional experience in the IT industry. He is currently steering the professional consultancy services business initiative - deploying Nelito resource with various IT skill sets on projects off shore & onsite with leading Indian & IT MNCs. His earlier assignment had been Head of customer support. He has also been associated with functions such as technical services, QA, & HR.

Mr Bhushan Samant, General Manager & Head (Finance) – BCom, MCBMSS – has over 21 years of experience in cash flow management, statutory & internal audits, monitoring entire accounts operations & finalization of Accounts. He is a financial consultant for onsite and in-house ERP implementation.

Mr Melvin D'Costa, General Manager & Head (Project Implementation) – BCom, DCP – is an ex-banker with over 21 years experience in retail banking and IT areas. During his tenure in the Company, he has been responsible for evaluation of application software for a leading Public Sector bank in Sri Lanka. In the current position, he is the responsible for steering the rollout of Core Banking Solutions in different Banks."

Geographical Heads

Mr Sanjeev K Bindlish, Associate Vice President & Head (Northern Operations) – BTech (Electronics & Telecomm), MBA (Marketing) – has over 15 years of Sales and Marketing experience in Turnkey IT solutions, Information Technology /Services and Outsourcing, Software projects, ERP Solutions, Banking and Finance related software products, networking products, engineering software products in multiple industry segments (viz BFSI, Utility companies, Government, Enterprise segment, Manufacturing, Defense). He looks after the Company’s business in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana & Madhya Pradesh territories.

Mr Dipak Kothari, Associate Vice President & Head (Western Operations) – MBA (Marketing) – has over 20 years of experience in marketing, commercial, customer support and operations. He looks after the Company’s business in Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat territories.

Mr TPS Oberoi, General Manager & Head (North-West Operations) – BA (Maths), DCA – has over 22 years of extensive experience in the field of software application development, deployment & implementation of various banking solutions especially for large banks. In Nelito, he is responsible for managing the Company's business in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir territories.

Mr John T Varghese, Head (Southern Operations) – BSc, BE (Computer Technology) – has over 20 years of experience in production and marketing. He looks after the Company’s business in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu territories.

Mr Rakesh K Verma, Head (East-1 Operations) – BSc (Hons) (Maths) – has over 25 years of experience in developing various commercial applications and selling banking applications, hardware and networking solutions. He was also trained on international Core Banking Application in USA, and has fair exposure of international banking application implementation methodology and quality assurance aspects. He looks after the Company's business in West Bengal, Orissa, North-East, Chhattisgarh and Bangladesh territories.

Mr Alok Majumdar, Head (East 2 Operations) – Graduate in Electronics Engg – has more than 24 years of extensive experience in the field of software/hardware maintenance and project management areas. In Nelito, he is responsible for managing the Company's business in Bihar and Jharkhand territories.
